SAMP Group Appoints Marcel Baettig as CEO and Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Promotions

Bologna, Italy – April 10, 2025 – SAMP is proud to announce a strategic reorganization of its commercial and operational leadership, reaffirming its commitment to continuous innovation and long-term growth. As part of this transformation, Marcel Baettig has been appointed Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), bringing with him deep expertise in business strategy, operations, and organizational transformation across global markets.

A long-time executive, Marcel Baettig has a solid track record in high-tech industries, private equity, and financial services. Before joining SAMP, he was Partner DACH at Humatica AG, where he advised portfolio companies and listed firms on strategic organizational alignment, including SAMP Group.

He officially began his role as CEO on 1st February, 2025, ensuring a smooth leadership transition and maintaining momentum on key strategic initiatives.

Outgoing CEO Jouni Heinonen, whose assignment as CEO was planned to be short and is now shifting his focus to Board positions, expressed full confidence in his successor: “Marcel is an exceptional leader with a proven ability to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence. In parallel with Baettig’s appointment, SAMP has promoted two senior executives to strengthen its leadership and support the company’s ambitious roadmap:

• Giorgio Albertazzi has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and has been fully operational in the role since January 2025. With a degree in Economics and over two decades at SAMP, Giorgio has been instrumental in growing the company’s presence across the EMEA region. His market insight and customer-centric approach will continue to drive commercial innovation and expansion.
• Matteo Nascetti has taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), also effective since January 2025. With nearly twenty years of experience in machinery and precision engineering, Matteo has played a key role in optimizing production processes and boosting operational performance. His technical leadership, focus on continuous improvement and lean methodologies will be essential to sustaining SAMP’s industrial excellence.
