As part of this transformation, Marcel Baettig has been appointed Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), bringing with him deep expertise in business strategy, operations, and organizational transformation across global markets.
A long-time executive, Marcel Baettig has a solid track record in high-tech industries, private equity, and financial services. Before joining SAMP, he was Partner DACH at Humatica AG, where he advised portfolio companies and listed firms on strategic organizational alignment, including SAMP Group.
He officially began his role as CEO on 1st February, 2025, ensuring a smooth leadership transition and maintaining momentum on key strategic initiatives.
Outgoing CEO Jouni Heinonen, whose assignment as CEO was planned to be short and is now shifting his focus to Board positions, expressed full confidence in his successor: “Marcel is an exceptional leader with a proven ability to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence.
